Book Of Mormon Contradiction: Helaman 8:21

The Bible is clear that the sons of Zedekiah, king of Judah, were killed because of the king of Babylon. It was king Nebuchadnezzar that caused this to happen. Looking at the timeline in history, this was around 587 B.C. In this same timeframe, a fictional group of people from the Book of Mormon left Israel to go to America. This strange book states that it is the wrong interpretation to say that all the sons were killed. Therefore, they lead people to believe that a man named Mulek survived the killing, being the son of Zedekiah. The Bible disagrees and says, “and the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him. So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him. And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.” (2 Kings 25:5-7) This is the truth and really happened.

It is in the Book of Mormon that we hear about this contradiction to the Bible. Interesting that it is in their most precious book. It reads, “and now will you dispute that Jerusalem was destroyed? Will ye say that the sons of Zedekiah were not slain, all except it were Mulek? Yea, and do ye not behold that the seed of Zedekiah are with us, and they were driven out of the land of Jerusalem? But behold, this is not all. (Helaman 8:21) And there you go. The Book of Mormon continues to teach things contrary to what the Bible has already said. It doesn’t just do this here but in dozens of other places all over this man-made book. You can hear the voices of Joseph Smith and the early founders of Mormonism written all over this book. Contrary to what the Book of Mormon claims, a son of King Zedekiah did not escape his death and did not come to the Americas. For this reason, people should stop reading the Book of Mormon altogether, lest they disbelieve the Bible more and more. This is my prayer for all Mormons. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, help Mormons learn to trust the Bible more and more each day, and to distrust their fictional Book of Mormon at the same time. If only they would read the Bible daily and stop reading their Book of Mormon. Lord, I am praying that Mormons will do this and come to You, Jesus, and not go down the road of atheism. They believe that the more they bear their testimony about their church being true, the more they will believe it. This is the spirit of the devil causing them to be firm in their false beliefs, instead of being open to Your truth. Lord, I love these people, but to get through to them is so difficult. Thankfully, we have the freedom to post about their cult online in the form of social media, including YouTube, and websites. I may not be able to reach many Mormons in person, but online is where amazing things are happening. Thank You, Lord, for the hundreds of people that have already resigned through my “Christianity Vs Mormonism” website. I give You the glory and praise. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

  1. This post is important because JS inserted the name of one of the sons of Zedekia whom he claimed came to the Americas into the BOM. The Bible reports that all of Zedekiah’s sons were killed.Consequently, this is a provable example of the BOM being fraudulent. If Js were a Prophet of God, he wouldn’t have gotten this wrong.
